There are moments in life when God gives you a vision long before He gives you the stage. In my first Author Journey episode, I shared how Blind Faith was placed in my spirit over a decade ago — long before I had the confidence, the clarity, or the infrastructure to carry it. Watching others move ahead, including my own sister stepping boldly into authorship, forced me to confront the quiet internal questions: Is it too late? Did I miss my moment? Is mine still needed? What I’ve learned is that delay is often development. When timing feels slow, it is usually shaping the version of you that can steward the assignment with maturity and peace.

This journey also required deep internal conflict resolution. Comparison had to be confronted. Insecurity had to be quieted. I had to reframe “waiting” as preparation instead of punishment. Vision requires stewardship before it requires visibility. Sometimes God gives you the whisper years in advance so that when the opportunity comes, you recognize it and are ready to walk through it with wisdom. Obedience matures when it is not rushed by pressure or fueled by competition.

Building as a faith-based author while also leading in corporate spaces introduced another layer of growth: how to be bold without being combative and strategic without being silent. I’ve had to learn audience awareness, tone discipline, and boundary setting — choosing when to share fully and when to share thoughtfully. Brand building does not require burning bridges, and standing firm in your faith does not require aggression. This first Author Journey conversation is not just about publishing a book; it’s about leadership, identity, and learning how to communicate vision with discernment. Because when you resolve internal tension, external growth feels aligned instead of overwhelming.
